Alkimos Naturopath Clinic is excited to welcome Bronwynn Comerford to our team.
Bronwynn is an endorsed clinical psychologist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Over the past 20 years, she has gained experience in a variety of government, private and corporate settings working with children, parents and adults around issues including: anxiety, depression, anger management, adjustment issues, self-esteem, parenting support and behaviours of concern. She is trained in evidence-based treatments including cognitive behaviour therapy, trauma informed practice including EMDR, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Positive Behaviour Support. Bronwynn has extensive experience in working with developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disability.
Bronwynn's approach to therapy is collaborative and holistic, with a focus on offering a safe environment while building on the strengths of the person and their support network. Therapy is matched to the person according to their personality and needs with the goal of gaining greater self-awareness and understanding of the issues and enabling positive and meaningful change to improve quality of life.
Bronwynn is a board-certified clinical psychology supervisor.
Services provided attract a Medicare rebate when referred by a GP under the Better Access to Psychological Treatment Program. Private health insurance rebates are also available for those with applicable health insurance.
